Sunrise Tanning’s ‘Season Of Hope’ Comes To A Close
The "Season of Hope" at Wallingford, Conn.-based Sunrise Tanning has ended with great success, according to Desiree MacDonald, manager for the indoor tanning salon, which is part of M. Salon and Spa. “We donated Thanksgiving dinner with all the trimmings to a local family, and dropped off three large boxes of food at the local food bank,” she says. “We also managed to collect four large boxes of supplies for to be sent to our soldiers overseas and eight boxes of toys for Toys for Tots.” The “Season of Hope” concept was developed by the salon director to inspire people to focus on giving to others at the holiday season. Sunrise staff members even voted to forego their usual in-store Secret Santa in favor of adopting families for Thanksgiving and Christmas. “Our staff adopted a local six-year-old boy and got to play Santa by getting him everything on his Christmas list,” MacDonald adds. “We also gave his mom a gift card to Super Wal-Mart to shop for anything else the family might need along with a gift card to our salon good for any services they’d like.” LOOKING FIT applauds Sunrise Tanning and M. Salon and Spa for giving back to the community this holiday season.
